All rules to rent a vehicle with Dubai Small. Read before booking.
🚗Mileage
You are entitled to 250 km per day included in the rental rate. Any excess will be charged between 10 and 45 AED per additional kilometer, depending on the vehicle. For long-distance trips or regular Dubai - Abu Dhabi journeys, we offer extended mileage packages on request.
🚚Vehicle delivery
Delivery is free to your hotel for any booking of more than 3 days. Deliveries are made from 10am to 10pm (until midnight for hotels located near downtown Dubai). For 1 to 2 day bookings, a delivery fee may apply depending on distance.
🔄Vehicle return
Vehicle return is made at our offices at your expense. If you wish us to collect the vehicle directly from your hotel or residence, a 150 AED fee applies.
💵Security Deposit
A security deposit is required for each rental, payable in cash, by debit/credit card or in crypto. The deposit is held for 21 to 28 days after vehicle return, to allow for any traffic fines to be processed. A "No Deposit" option is available for short-term rentals, ask us for details.
💳Credit card payment
Any payment made by credit card incurs an additional 5% fee (banking fees). These fees are not refunded when the deposit is returned. To avoid these fees, prefer cash or crypto payment.
🛂Traffic Fines
Any fines incurred during the rental period will be charged upon vehicle return, with proof from UAE government portals (RTA, Dubai Police, Salik). Dubai Small reserves the right to deduct fines, damages or fuel costs directly from the deposit.
🚙Vehicle Usage
Vehicles cannot be used on race tracks, off-road, in deserts or in any conditions deemed dangerous. It is strictly forbidden to misuse the vehicle or tow other vehicles. Any damage caused in these situations is the responsibility of the renter and is not covered by insurance. For desert activities (dune bashing, etc.), we offer dedicated services with appropriate vehicles and professional drivers.
🚭No Smoking
Smoking is strictly prohibited in our vehicles. In case of non-compliance, a 2,500 AED fine applies automatically, as the vehicle will need to be deep cleaned to remove all smoke odor.
🌐Navigation and speed cameras
We strongly recommend downloading the WAZE app to avoid speeding fines and ensure smooth navigation in the UAE. WAZE detects all fixed and mobile speed cameras active in the UAE.
⛽Fuel Policy
The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as provided at delivery. If the level is lower, the missing fuel amount is charged directly (Super 98 petrol in the vast majority of cases).
🧽Vehicle Cleanliness
The vehicle must be returned clean (interior and bodywork reasonably clean). In case of excessive dirt, a 100 AED fee applies or is deducted from the deposit.
💥Damage
Any damage caused to the vehicle by the renter is at their expense. Exception: non-responsible accident or damage caused by a third party, upon presentation of the police report from Dubai Police. Remember to immediately call the police on 999 or 901 in case of accident, even minor.
🪪Driving License
Warning, you must carry your physical driving license while driving (international permit if you are a tourist, UAE license if resident). A photo of the license is not sufficient. In case of police check without physical license, the vehicle may be confiscated and heavy fines apply, entirely at your expense.
